The home is able to support 6 young people to live at Whitacre House. This includes supporting a young person to learn independent living skills in the semi independent living space built in to the home.
Welcome to Whitacre
Whitacre house is a home full of fun, we love to laugh! From Karaoke all year round to pool parties in the garden (do not get your expectations too high this is a paddling pool!) we love to have fun and create memories.
We love to celebrate our children’s achievements. We have a lot of success stories within our home. We support all young people to develop their independence skills so when the time comes for their next steps, they are prepared for what this will look like. We were nominated for an award at the Children’s care awards due to our good work around this!
We enjoy movie nights and pamper nights! We encourage and support each other, one thing we all do well is to care for one another.
Routine plays a central role in our home, especially around mealtimes. We treat this time as an opportunity to come together, prepare nutritious meals, and share stories about our day around the dinner table. These shared moments reinforce our sense of belonging and family.
